UTSAs wide receiver duo of DeCorian Clark and Zahkari Franklin is going to take over

De’Corian Clark, Zakhari Franklin and the rest of the UTSA Roadrunners are on a mission this season. After going 12-2 last year to claim their first division and conference titles in school history under the leadership of second-year head coach Jeff Traylor, the Roadrunners are now out to successfully repeat as Conference USA champions.

And if they are to accomplish that goal, their star wide receiver duo of Zakhari Franklin and De’Corian Clark will have to take over.

As two-thirds of their three-headed monster at wide receiver known as the “Bomb Squad,” Franklin and Clark were key players in the Roadrunners' historic season as they combined for 133 receptions, 1,782 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns.

And the two have picked up right where they've left off in their senior year as they're powering the prolific Roadrunners offense.

Zakhari Franklin, who led the team in receptions (81), receiving yards (1,027) and touchdowns (12) last year, is having another tremendous season with 43 catches for 586 yards and 6 TDs. Not to be outdone, De’Corian Clark has 39 catches as well as 618 yards and 7 TDs, and he leads the team in the latter two categories. The two are already part of the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, which is given to the top FBS wide receiver for the season.

The dynamic duo has begun Conference USA play in stellar fashion, and the Roadrunners will be relying heavily on them to get their hands on plenty of balls as they look to return to the title game.
